Ghost Player wins ADDY Award
“The ADDY goes to the OSCARS” awards program was held Friday Feb. 26th 2010 at Hotel Julien Dubuque. The American Advertising Federation of Dubuque (AAF Dubuque) presented its 2009–2010 ADDY Awards for advertising creative excellence. People were dressed to impress and the red carpet lead the way into the beautiful Grand Ballroom.
Joe & Shari Scherrman, representing DreamCatcher Production LLC from Dyersville, Iowa proudly accepted two ADDY Awards during the gala. The ADDY Awards is the world’s largest and toughest advertising competition with more than 60,000 entries annually. “As with most successful projects it takes collaboration and some great idea people like Nic Vetter from Low & Inside and Suzie Wright with BallyHoo Creative. Thank you,” remarked Joe Scherrman.
During the Professional Award portion of the event DreamCatcher Production was presented the Gold ADDY Award for the ever-so popular lenticular post-card. The card was designed as Special Event Material for Ghost Player LLC. The card was also a part of a complete marketing package designed by DreamCatcher for the promotion of the “Ghost Player: Relive the Magic” movie and companion book “Travels with Ghost and Other Tales”. The collection won the Gold ADDY® Award and Final Fifteen Award in the Mixed/Multiple Media Campaign.
The ADDY Awards represent the true spirit of creative excellence by recognizing all forms of advertising from media of all types and creative by all sizes.
