Finkler's essay tells of his love of baseball, fascination for the mid-west and affection for the Field of Dreams and the fields' influence on his life. This love enticed him away from the snowfields of Barrow Alaska to live in the mid-west so that he would be able to easily access his 3 favorite baseball towns-Chicago, Dyersville and Milwaukee.
