Suzanne Wright (editor of GP's newsletter) and Executive Producer Brian Frankish
Twenty-seven years ago, filmmaker Brian Frankish had never even heard of Dyersville, Iowa and certainly had no idea of the impact his decision to make a film in Iowa would have in his own life nor in the lives of so many people around the world.
For the last 25 years, people have been sharing their stories of relationship reconciled, of second chances taken and of dreams inspired by the film. On April 23rd, many of those stories were told. Ghost Players’ members and fans alike shared their stories of how their lives had changed because of the movie.
Even our newsletter’s editor, Suzie Wright, was able to share her story. She had never dreamed of being a filmmaker and yet thanks to working with Joe Scherrman, the Ghost Players and DreamCatcher Productions for the last 6 years, she has moved from being a writer to also being a film producer who would hold the world premiere of her first feature documentary during the film festival that weekend. Frankish was touched by the story. He was not staying in the area long enough to see the No Boundaries premiere but is looking forward to seeing the film soon.
